Modeled after the highly renowned classic ‘47 microphone that has been used on countless hit records for the last 50+ years, the Warm Audio WA-47jr Black features an FET transformerless design. It's fully discrete, offers 3 polar patterns, and is equally valuable in pro studios, home studios, live environments, and broadcast applications. It delivers great sound on vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, acoustic/electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass/woodwind instruments, and much more.

A "chip off the ol' block", WA-47jr Black proudly offers a custom k47-style capsule – the same k47 style capsule found in Warm's flagship WA-47 (sold separately) – engineered with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the vintage ‘47-style design. Warm Audio's version of this superb capsule (model# WA-47-B-80v) is carefully crafted by an Australian capsule manufacturer with meticulous precision and repeatability that enables the most important sonic piece of the classic mic to be heard and impart influence on the tone and signature of the junior. Its low-noise and discrete signal path, when paired with this excellent and true '47-style capsule, provides a very similar tone to the classic ‘47 mic, but at a much more affordable price tag. The mic's circuitry is modernized and even more simple than the classic ‘47 tube microphone, but its design and components are top-notch, delivering sound quality and tone that punches through the crowd, far above anything else you may hear in this price range.
